HAPPY FATHER"S DAY DADDY! Michael had the Best time with his daddy! We went to mass, brunch and then a bike ride through central Park. He is so Blessed to have such a wonderful father who loves him so dearly.






So if you don't know all ready we are going to be parent to a beautiful little GIRL!! Due Nov. 4th one day after my father's birthday! Her name will be Molly Elizabeth or Maggie Elizabeth . We are thrilled to report that she is developing beautifully and so far Healthy !!! We are 23 1/2 weeks !

This is one of the reasons I have been so bad at keeping up with the bolg , working full time, keeping up with my little man and being preggy has been a challenge. But I feel great and am managing to do it all. Thank Goodness for Tommy, Caitlin, Jess and my parents who have been a tremendous help.




Michael is going to be the BEST Big brother. I bought him a little girl baby doll and he gives her hugs and loves to hold her (TOO cute!!)

Hi , so much to catch up on. I was in newport for work and I brought Michael up to stay with my parents. Grandpa sure did miss his Michael and loved his time with him. Grandpa taught Michael how to climb up the stairs. He kept Nana, Jess, Uncle Sean and Grandpa very busy with his new favorite new game. Nana came back with us to take care of Michael for the week while mommy had to work. Nana let me have a special sleep over at her fancy hotel the Manhattan Club so mommy and daddy could get a good night sleep. It was my first sleep over at a hotel! I loved my time with my nana we did so much !











UNCLE SEAN GOT A J *O *B !!!!!!! WoooHOOOOOOOHH!!! Sean will be working at the State House!!! I am so proud of him. Sean has worked so hard to get this job! I let out a big shout and started to cry when I got his text message. I know he is going to make a difference and has an incredible future! Michael love his uncle Sean he would not let him out of his sight the whole week in Cohasset.

I call Michael the Mayor of the playground. Mick loves people! He has to say hi to every person at the playground. He will not leave until they say hello and smile. He has the best personality HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY BABE! He is starting to talk more and ready to walk. We just adore him!



Tommy took us to the MOMA we had a wonderful time ! It is one of my favorite things to do in NYC it was such a treat !


We are so excited Auntie Barbara is on her way over from England. She will be staying for the next few weeks. We are going to Nannie and Granddads for the 4th of July! I cannot wait for the BIG party and to finally meet my Auntie Barbara!!

Daddy took me to my very first baseball game at Yankee stadium. We had the best time, I LOVED when everyone clapped their hands. My hands hurt after the 7th inning. Mommy said Next stop Fenway.



We had the best time, Daddy got us the best seats. We had a fun Boys weekend!

( this all happened when mom went out with her friends, mom would not have let me ride the subway to get to the game....but we made it and had the best time.)

Michael is WONDERFUL !! We are having the most amazing time being parents. Every day is a joy with out little Miracle. Every one that meets him LOVES him ! One of our friends who is scared to have kids said I would have a dozen kids if I knew they were going to be like Michael. That is the best way to describe how truly special he is. HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY baby !

WIll fix pics tomorrow we were at my cousin Michael's house celebrating Brain Graduation! Michael had the best time with cousin Cole in the Pool and all of the Connolly gang, most of which were meeting Michael for the first time. Aunt Nancy , Uncle Bill, Brian and Lauren came up all the way from FL.

busy weekend

Sorry, I know I have a lot of updating to do.

Michael is doing much better recovering from the MRI his head swelling has gone down and we are almost back to 100%.

We will get the full report today. Dr. K called us on Friday to give brief overview. He said that Michael's LPA and RPA are small (as they knew before) This will have to be repaired, he thinks it can wait until the next open heart but will be monitored closely. If not he thinks it would just require a trip to the Cath Lab for them to put in shunts.

He was pleased with Mick's Aorta and will continue to watch it. We will get more detail today and update. He did say he was not too surprised by anything that he saw.


Michael had a great relaxing weekend and was glad to stay home to get caught up with rest.


Poor Uncle Sean was rushed to the Hospital on Sat. night. he had to have his Apendix taken out at 1 A.M. Sean is such a trooper he had been living with incredible pain for five days and thought it was just his IBS. Then his dr. advised him to go to the hospital and sure enough he had to get is apendix taken out. He was in the hospital for two days and now is with my parents recovering.
We were so happy to hear Sean is doing much better and is only in a little bit of pain.

I was very worried and said I was going to go up to see him. He said after what Mick has been through this is nothing, I am fine! We look forward to see him next weekend at my cousin Brian's graduation party. Hopefully he is fully recovered!

Sorry have to run to work I have so much more to update on Mick's bday party and this past weekend! Mick met Cousin Cole, had his first BBQ, and trip to CP zoo.

After four hours of being in the MRI machine, Michael is out and recovering from his super-long and groggy nap. His head is a little swollen and his saturation rates are a little low, so he'll be at the hospital until these things go down and up (respectively). He'll most likely be home within the next few hours.

The results of the MRI won't be available for a few days, but we'll keep you posted. Thanks for your continued good wishes.

At 11:30 am, Michael went in for his MRI. The little tiger was not allowed to eat since 4 AM so his smiling and friendly disposition caught the doctors and nurses by surprise. His Mom and Dad have been by his side, diverting his attention from all too familiar hospital lights and a grumbling tummy. During the 3 hour MRI, Michael's medical team will be looking to see how his heart is doing and to measure brain activity to make sure his blood circulation is sufficient. This little one-year old has everyone amazed.

so we are heading to the hospital for Michael's MRI. It is going to be a much longer day then we thought. Michael will be in the MRI machine for three hours and then it will be a four hour recovery. They are going to be looking at Michael's heart and brain.

HI everyone! YEP I am a big boy now !!! I love hanging out with my mommy at the Park


Mommy rushed home from work so she could take me to the park at 4:30, it was still nice out! We had so much fun reading stories, singing songs, and playing with my toys. Mommy let everyone know it was my Birthday!



We were going to go to Big Daddy's restaurant for my birthday dinner but daddy got stuck at work. Auntie Caitlin came over with my first Birthday Cupcake ! Mommy let me try a little piece BOY OH BOY was it DELICIOUS!






Mommy kept me awake so I could have daddy time. Daddy came home and gave me the best tubby!! I love when daddy gives me baths!



Nana and Uncle Sean are on their way to celebrate my birthday!! They are going to watch me while mommy works.

Sadly Grandpa can't come because of his knees. The doctor said he can't travel. We know they must be really bad because grandpa was so sad he can't come. The most important thing is that grandpa get his new magic knees so he can run after me. I am growing up really quickly and sure do love my grandpa. Mommy told him not to worry about not being able to make it but to take care of those knees because there are going to many more birthdays to celebrate !

We are going to take a trip soon to see grandpa!



We have a busy day today, we are going to the hospital now for them to run a few tests before my MRI on the 21 st. It should only take 20 mins. total.


Today at 4:30 my best friend Asher and I are going to have a joint birthday party for all our friends who live in our building!

Hi everyone,

quick up date before I have to run to work.

Last week we had Auntie Sarah visit for a few days. It was so wonderful to have seen her. She has been taking over the night shift at her job so we were lucky to have her for a few days that she had off. Michael loves his time with is Godmother! Just like his daddy, he sits and cuddles with Auntie Sarah (everyone else he moves around, sitting is not his favorite). We had a wonderful visit with Auntie Sarah as always!


Nana came on Friday! Caitlin took nana to the top of the empire state building then they headed up to see us.
Nana and auntie caitlin watched me so Mommy and Daddy could have a date night.


The next morning Mommy and Daddy took me to my First little league baseball game. We went to cheer on my friend Kevin.
Then we met up with Nana at the Manhattan Club we had so much fun playing.

Jess and her Mom came over to the Manhattan Club. Jess's mom was so excited to meet me. We also had to make sure her mom knew how much we LOVE Jess! She is the BEST Nanny in the world!

Daddy came to get me to have a boys night. Mommy, Nana, & Auntie Caitlin were going out to dinner and then a Show to celebrate mother's day.

Mommy stayed at the Manhattan Club with Nana and Caitlin to get a good night rest. She woke up early and came to meet me and Daddy at her favorite restaurant for Brunch.

Then Mommy and Daddy took me threw Central Park. I got to walk around and see all the children, birds, trees, boats, and musicians, it was so exciting. We met up with Nana and Auntie Caitlin at the Zoo.

We had the most incredible day!

Tuesday night Daddy was able to come home by 7:30 so we walked to Central Park. I loved being up so high I could see everyone passing.

Hi everyone ! I wanted to update you real quick.

After an stressful and tiring few weeks I am happy to say that our little mickster is finally virus free!!!

Even though most would never know he was sick by looking at pictures because he was always smiling ear to ear.

I am telling you he gets cuter by the day!


He gave us quite the scare with temps reaching 103.8 for three days and low sats. We were relieved Once the doctors determined that it was only a viral infection and it had to runs it's course. They were all very concerned with his high temp and that it lasted so long , but our fighter fought right through it.

Everyone in the hospital LOVED Michael they kept saying he is the BEST baby they had ever had in the ER!


He truly is amazing!




So after a few weeks of complete stress, my body went on shut down mode. After going a hundred miles a minute for a year, one needs a break.

My in laws knew this and insisted on sending us away for a long weekend. We were so grateful for their generosity it was the best gift one could ask for! We certainly were not expecting it and what a wonderful surprise it was!

Thomas and I were thrilled of the idea of a vacation, where we have not been away just the two of us in almost three years! ( Sad I know)

The other piece of the puzzle was finding the perfect person to watch our Michael, and who better then my mom. It just so happened that she was about to have her spring break from school and offered to cancel her vacation plans. and instead watch Michael. She too insisted on canceling her vacation plans because she knew how badly we needed a vacation. She was also excited about the idea of spending time with Michael. My Dad still can't travel because of his knees. We are hoping they will get better soon.


We had to act fast and booked a last minute trip to Bahamas! This was just what the doctor ordered for us. We relaxed for the first time in a long time for four whole days ! We had perfect weather, most beautiful room over looking the ocean it was a perfect vacation.

Although I called in at least five times a day just to hear Michael's voice because I missed him so much, I did not worry about him once. That was the greatest feeling. Having my mom and Caitlin watch over him was also a wonderful gift.

My mom reported back that he was so lovable a true joy, always smiling and laughing. I said, I know he is just the best baby!

The best part about the end of our vacation was our excitement to see our little babe. We couldn't wait to get back to him.
Our vacation was a perfect amount of time.

We are so thankful for our parents to have made our vacation happen. They have done so much for us, we are blessed.



Last but not least our miracle Michael is turning ONE!!!!!! Holy Moly the day is almost here ! I cry every time I think about it.

Invitations are in the mail. The party is set for May 16th on our roof top ! Please mark it on your calender, I know it is a busy season so don't worry it you can't make it.

It will be the most wonderful celebration of LIFE!!

We're happy to report that Michael didn't have a fever today. It returned yesterday, but after another doctor's visit and shot of antibiotics, Michael's fever went back down. He took a trip to the park, tried on sneakers for the first time, and took in the fresh air. What a trooper.

As Michael's Nana noted in the comments, the little tiger came home last night. His fever was going up and down through the morning, but he is certainly glad to be home. He's resting now and will catch up on some much-needed sleep.

The good news is that Michael's chest x-ray came back clear. He's resting now and him mom is making sure nothing wakes him up! They are still running tests to determine what's causing the fever and will likely not release the little guy until it's figured out.

Hi Everyone.

We wanted to let you know that because of a 103 degree fever that won't go down, Megan took Michael to the hospital. He's there now and the medical team will work on getting his temperature down, while trying to figure out the source of the problem.

Michael went to the doctor's yesterday and it was determined that he had a viral infection. The team at the hospital will be checking to make sure it is not pneumonia.

We know that this little tiger will get through this hurdle with his mom and dad by his side. I'll keep you posted.

Hi everyone ! I am so sorry it has taken me so long to update. I had Caitlin do the posts where I have been very busy with work and keeping up with Michael has taken all my energy and time. Wait until you see the Videos I have taken of him, I just don't know what to do he is too darn cute!!!

So much has happened!
Two weeks ago after a much need break from work and stress Tommy and I took a long weekend and brought Michael to Buffalo for some wonderful Irwin Family Time!
It was Michael's first big trip he was the best traveling baby!! We had a fabulous time in Buffalo!

We were able to bring Mick to Moog (where nannie works ) it was so wonderful to meet all our Moog Fans. They have been so thoughtful, we are grateful for their support!

Mick had a special Friday with Nannie, we went by the lake for a delicious lunch.

Nannie, Granddad , Auntie Sarah and Murphy threw an amazing party for the Mickster. Mick was able to meet all of his Buffalo supporters. They too have been so generous.

Michael also had his first trip to Nino's ( a famous buffalo chicken finger sub shop) we went with one of Daddy's best family friend, Matt. Then Mick met one of Daddy's best friend and family. Michael was dancing and showing off for everyone. Boy is he a charmer.


WE LOVED our trip to Buffalo! Mick Loved being with his family and Murphy the dog. He enjoyed every morning sitting in the kitchen with Murphy watching Nannie make breakfast. Michael was so excited to have so much space to walk/ Crawl big difference from city living.

Nannie, Graddad , Auntie Sarah and Murphy made our first trip with Mick to Buffalo one we will never forget !

Nannie and Granddad just got back from St. Thomas where they had a wonderful time celebrating their Birthdays' !


Michael is amazing every day he is learning something new. He love to wave to everyone!!! At communion he waves at everyone that passes and if they don't wave back he gets upset. ( Very funny to watch) !

Uncle Sean was here for the week. We had a blast as always . Sean Brought Michael to the park every day with Jess and insisted on holding him as the walked threw. He claimed Mick wanted to get out of the stroller.

We miss him and as Caitlin posted Mick keeps looking for his god father.

Auntie Sarah is on her way to NYC!!! WE are soooo excited to get to see her! We have a fun day planned! Our next mission is to get auntie sarah to move to NYC!

We are heading to MA for easter! Mick is so excited to see all the Walsh & Connolly Gang!

Uncle Sean Time

Both Michael and his Uncle Sean had a wonderful week. Sean, who is also Michael's Godfather, arrived on Monday with a mission of spoiling, entertaining, and playing with the Mickster. They went for walks, played games, and listened to music. Sean, with his unparralled ear for good music, deemed Michael a musical prodigy as they rocked out to Dave Matthews and the Dixie Chicks. Megan and Thomas also loved having Sean around as he was a huge help. He left for Boston this morning and Meg reported that Michael kept looking around, wondering where did Uncle Sean go? …I have a feeling he'll be back very soon.

Michael is doing well. He has a bit of a cold but that isn't stopping him from loving his cookie and nap time!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Hi Everyone.
A quick update from yesterday's appointment.

Michael had an echocardiogram done and the team determined that he'll need additional testing. They did say that there is some narrowing of his arteries, but nothing alarming. They will do an MRI within the next two weeks to determine how soon this will need to be corrected. Of course, the doctors would like to wait as long as possible and are hoping this can hold off until Michael's next surgery (in about a year). Either way, they will be closely monitoring the narrowing as well as the shifting of his lungs.

Michael was a trooper at the cardiologist visit, which lasted more than four hours. Donning his green rugby shirt, Michael celebrated his first Saint Patrick's Day, checking out all of the crazy revelers strolling through New York last night. He also got a belated "Happy Birthday" song to ring in his 10 month birthday.

hi everyone sorry I did not update yesterday. Mick is doing well. We are going to the hospital today for them to do an EKG and Echo. They want to run more test before they have to do a MRI. We are going at 10 am and expect to be there all day.

I will post when we get back, we will have a much better idea what is going on after today's visit.

Sorry for the delay with updates. Meg was away for business in Arizona and things have been busy!

Michael is doing well. Meg and Thomas took him to the pediatrician yesterday, thinking that the poor little guy may have an ear infection. It turns out that he has a viral infection, which was causing a fever, which resulted in low saturation levels (amount of oxygen in his blood). The pediatrician sent them to the hospital, where they did a chest x-ray and blood work. The blood work came back okay but the chest x-ray revealed some concern that Michael's left lung may have been pushed. So far, the cardiologist is speculating that it could have occurred during the last surgery. They are going to do an MRI tomorrow (hopefully). The medical team will monitor this closely since, if this is the case, it is very rare. However, as Michael's temperature returned to normal so did his saturation levels, leaving his doctors and parents relieved.

Michael's been hanging low at home and is back to being his hilarious self. When not cracking up, he's climbing over people and toys to find the clicker or seek out the cell phone's hiding spot.

We'll keep you posted with updates.

real quick , Caitlin had a good night sleep, she was wiped out from the surgery.

Seeing poor Caitlin in so much pain was difficult, but it did make me realize how much of a fighter The Mickster is. Caitlin only had 40z removed Mick 4 open heart Surgeries. We Certainly have the bravest baby with high pain tolerance.

It is a miracle how well he is doing!!


I will update more later I still have to upload Pictures from Nannie's visit and Auntie Sarah visit Last weekend.

LONG DAY/NIGHT

Hi sorry so late we just got home from the hospital. Caitlin did great, it was just took longer then they expected. She is a trooper!
Caitlin wanted me to let everyone know that she is fine and to thank everyone for their well wishes.

Mick is so excited for her sleep over, we are going to nurse Caitlin back to health tonight. My parents are coming to nyc to take over tomorrow. I think we were both expecting a faster recovery, this one is going to take time!
