It's A Girl

Good golly, Miss Molly! You are a trooper. The amazing Megan and Thomas welcomed Molly Elizabeth Irwin at 3:49pm today. Born at 7 pounds and 15 ounces. She is beautiful! Pictures to follow!

Still no Molly. Meg's 4 1/2 centimeters dilated and having contractions every 5 minutes. We're taking bets but my money's on 5:37 pm. Uncle Sean's has 6:21 pm and Nana's thinking 4:32. Megan and Tommy just can't wait to meet their daughter.

Well, Megan and Thomas headed to the hospital last night and we're still waiting for little Miss Molly. We're hoping that she'll arrive within the next few hours, but will keep you posted. Michael is loving his time with Nana and is ready to be a big brother.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDPA !!! ( NOV 3rd)

Michael is already the Best Big Brother, he walks around with his baby doll Molly and gives her hugs and kisses. Michael is also getting the apartment all clean for his new baby sister. What a great babe.

Grandpa Connolly's Birthday was Nov. 3rd we are going to celebrate over Thanksgiving! Grandpa has to take it easy. In his last stay in the hospital the Doctor made him do a stress test and walk on the treadmill. It resulted in a tear in his knee and now has internal bleeding. The doctors are keeping a close eye were they cannot drain the blood in fear of infection he will have to let his body absorb the blood. This is also complicated by the fact he still has blood clots in his lung, legs and is on coumadin. He says he is doing much better and this is just another set back in his recovery. The poor guy certainly did not expect all of these complications from a knee surgery. He stays positive and is hoping this is the last of set backs.

Hi Everyone!

I am Happy to report that my dad was sent home from the hospital yesterday and will have daily visits from the nurse and PT to keep a close eye on him. My Uncle Tommy came up last night to take my dad to dr. apts in Boston today. My Dad's Dr. that did the knee replacement wants to see him.
He said he feels MUCH Better and we hope he STAYS that way!

Michael new favorite things to give everyone a hug that passes bye. This is very interesting when strangers are approached by Michael's open arms wanting to give them a hug. He is just too sweet for words!

Hi Everyone Michael getting ready to be a big brother. He is walking around with his Baby Molly and and giving her kisses.


My Dad is still in the hospital. He is doing better but they have to keep a close eye on him to avoid other complications. They need to be sure this medication will work. He does not want anyone to worry and thanks all for their support.

Happy Birthday Auntie Caitlin! - Keep grandpa Connolly in your prayers

So Quick up date: Grandpa was rushed back to the hospital this morning for low blood pressure. They are running a bunch of tests and he expects to stay for a few days. The concern is the doctors are dealing with two different problems and need to find the appropriate medications for grandpa. They also want to be certain they have identified the correct problem. We have to be patient and pray, they feel confident all will go well. Nana is by Grandpa's side and reports he is in good spirits and feels great. He does not anyone to worry. Molly is going to have to stay in for another week. We NEED GRANDPA to be on his road to recovery before she arrives!

Please keep him in your prayers.


Michael gets sweeter every day he now gives kisses on the lips with a BIG hug! Auntie Sarah got the Doggie Costume last year for Callium and now Michael is the lucky one to ware the doggie. It is the BEST costume. THANK YOU Auntie Sarah!

Sean's Birthday was Yesterday and Caitlin's is today! Sean we can't wait to give you your Gift!!

Grandpa has reported that he feels MUCH better and has Nurse Aunt Jonnie, Grandpa's sister, there to take the BEST care of him while Nana is at work. It was so thoughtful of Aunt Jonnie to come from CT to stay with grandpa! Jonnie was excited to have time with grandpa.

So Much has happened! Sorry has taken so long to update!

Real Quick:

Mommy had a week long national conference in Boston the week of Oct.12-16th. Nana and Uncle Sean came to NYC for the weekend and picked us up and drive us to Boston. I stayed with Nana and Grandpa for the week. Uncle Sean came to Cohasset almost every night and Auntie Caitlin came Wed.- Sunday.

Mommy doesn't know how Nana does it ALL. Nana would work all day and then still find energy to play with me and make us all a special dinner. Since Nana had to work all week I had special visitors to take care of me and grandpa. Uncle Tommy grandpa brother, got grandpa from the rehab hospital on Monday and took care of my on Tuesday. We had the best time he looks just like grandpa and is soooooo Funny!

Wed. one of Mommy's great friend Jessica watched me. She brought me to Jill's another one of mommy's great friends for a play date with Gabbie, Jill's niece. I thought she was one of my girlfriends. We had a blast playing together.
Wed. night Mommy came for dinner and visit.

Thursday Oct. 15th: Daddy's BIRTHDAY!!!! We sang a special birthday song!

MY Nana's friend Nan came to watch me until Auntie Caitlin came to Nana and grandpa's. Nan was so nice she read me my favorite stories.

Friday we headed home to celebrate Daddy's Birthday.

We had Daddy's Birthday celebration on October 16h! Michael made his daddy a very special birthday card, his first piece of art work!


Friday Grandpa gave everyone a good scare. He was rushed to the hospital for blood clots in his Legs and Lung. They also detected a heart problem. Grandpa's heart rate was shooting up to 180 , if he just moved his leg. He was on strict bed rest for five days in order for them to find the appropriate meds to balance his heart rate and blood pressure. It turns out Grandpa has Afib a common heart problem on the Connolly's Side. What was concerning was the amount of days it took to stabilize his heart rate.
Grandpa was just released from the hospital. He is in great spirits. The visiting nurse and PT will come every day to keep a close eye on him. He was given strong medications to help his recovery.

The doctor said he probably had these blood clots for two weeks and said if he was not active the blood clots would have gotten too big and could have killed him. Grandpa gave me credit for keeping him moving. As you can see in the video I insisted that my Grandpa walk around with me. I would take his cane and say come on grandpa got to keep you moving. My Mommy tried to say let grandpa rest , but I knew he had to walk around and thank God I did!

Please keep grandpa in your thoughts and prayers! Mommy needs him to be fully better before Molly comes.


This past weekend Auntie Sarah came to celebrate Daddy's Birthday and see me. She brought me my first Pennington Bear right from England. We had a special visit. I love when I have Auntie Sarah time!

Grandpa is doing great! The surgery was longer then they expected due to the size of his large Knee. We spoke to him yesterday and he was in good spirits excited to get better for Michael's visit in a few weeks. I have a national conference in Boston so Michael will stay with my parents for the week. I figured it was the best motivation for my father to get better. ( It is working yesterday he was already up and walking with the walker).


Michael is doing wonderful! Caitlin came over last night, as she does almost every night. We waited for her in the lobby, Michael was greeting everyone as they entered. (We do this every night) Michael has the title of Mayor of the Lobby. The Doorman all love when it is Michael time. He makes everyone laugh and smile.

Caitlin had Michael Laughing so hard that he had tears coming from his eyes. We could not video it because we were laughing too hard at Michael. He is really developed a funny personality, he loves to make people laugh. Michael also had some new dance moves that are quite impressive. I must video it because it is so entertaining. He is a true joy getting ready to be a big brother! I have to run to work.
